Our Story: A Legacy of Dance and Dedication

Dancing Doll Dancewear began as a dream over 31 years ago, rooted in a love for dance and a passion for helping dancers feel confident and prepared. It all started with my mom, Nelda, who fell in love with the dance world when I first stepped into a studio as a young dancer. From that moment, dance became more than just an activity—it became a way of life for both of us.

As a dedicated dance mom, my mother quickly realized how challenging it was to find high-quality dancewear that truly met the needs of dancers. She wanted to create a place where dancers of all levels could find not only the right shoes, leotards, and accessories but also a supportive community that understood their journey. With determination, she opened a small boutique, pouring her heart into every selection and every fitting, ensuring that each dancer who walked through the door felt seen and supported. In addition to running the store, she used her incredible sewing skills to make custom costumes for studios in our community, including my own and those of my students.

I was not only a dancer but also a Ballet teacher and studio owner for 17 years, guiding and nurturing young dancers as they pursued their dreams. After selling my studio in 2019, I transitioned fully into running Dancing Doll Dancewear, continuing the legacy my mother started. Today, my mom still works in the store, lovingly sewing pointe shoes and sharing her expertise with our customers.

Dancing Doll Dancewear remains a family-run store, committed to serving the dance community with the same passion, care, and expertise that my mom instilled from the very beginning.
